Mental health awareness week

  • You’re not alone.
  • A problem shared is a problem halved.
  • Talking about issues will always feel scary, but it isn’t, you will always feel better after.
  • No one will judge you for how you feel.
  • Everyone struggles at some point.
  • You never know what someone else is feeling, people get very good at hiding their issues, so talk to your friends, they might understand more than you think.
  • Sometimes those who hide it best are struggling the most.
  • People who struggle often don’t want to feel like they’re a burden, so if you’re worried about someone, make it clear they won’t be.
  • It affects a lot more people than you think.
  • It is not a sign of weakness.
  • Tackle your issues head on and try to find healthy coping strategies.
  • Exercise can be a really good and healthy coping strategy.
  • Everything gets better with time, so don’t give up.
  • The first step to dealing with it is always the hardest, but things will get better.
